slackers have no place in the annals of ballard. stop-time watches and alaskan do, however.

i heart sushi and potatoes. and false pipes and inner-thight tattoos. even if they cause a slight accident.

p.s. paying people under the table is not the way to go. i heard it first hand.

here's my energy-conservation tip for the summer that i just picked up:

if you have free spaces in your refrigerator or freezer, fill them with bottles or milk jugs emptied and filled with water. water retains temperature better than air, so you'll use less energy to keep the spaces cool. also, you'll always have a supply of cold water!

[Current Music |songs to sing when i'm lonely/ john frusciante.]

holy shit, john frusciante rules. singing 'lucky'? holy shit, he rules even more. unfortunately, i am not a superhero, so he will never play at my birthday party.

i love tuesday nights for no blue reason. i like the smell of roses and the community garden on eighth. coffee is fun. summer is here, i think that i'm writing again. i really like brushing the dust off of my records.

i went to twice sold tales at five o'clock this morning and bought my friend megan a copy of 'one hundred years of solitude'. i feel accomplished.

i had a wonderful time in portland. hearts go out to anyone who saw me in tye-dyed denim.

i am going to go smoke a cigarette now, and after i'm finished, i'm going to write a poem. it might not work, but i'm far from concerned about that. it's in the trying--the effort, that i will gain anything.

none of the doors in my house, save the front and back doors close all the way. is this a metaphor?

i've only smoked one cigarette today.
